|
| How do I open an Account? |
Bulldog Bucks accounts must be opened at
the Bulldog Bucks office, located in the University Bookstore
Building. The entrance to the office is on the Sanford Drive
side of the building.
|
| Can I sign up for my Bulldog Bucks Account online? |
|
No. Due to federal regulations all account signups must
be completed in our office. The online registration page only
provides access to the Online Card Office for existing account
holders.
|
| What are the office hours for the Bulldog Bucks office? |
The Bulldog Bucks office
is open Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm except on University
of Georgia Holidays.
|
| Why is my account balance different at Laundry, Printing, Copying,
and Vending? |
|
When you signed up for Bulldog Bucks, you set a Daily Unattended Limit.
This is a limit on the amount that can be spent on Laundry, Printing, Copying,
and Vending in one day. The card readers at these locations count down
from your Daily Unattended Limit rather than your total account balance.
For example, suppose your limit is $10 and you have $150
in your account. You then buy a Coke from a vending machine
for $1. For the rest of that day, your balance will display as $9
at any Laundry, Printing, Copying, or Vending
card reader. However, your actual account balance, which
you can check online,
is $149.
|
|
Why can I not do laundry or print when I know I have enough money in my account? |
This can occur when you have exceeded your Daily Unattended Limit.
The limit is reset everyday at midnight and applies to laundry, copying, vending, and printing.
|
| What is the "Daily Unattended Limit"? |
The "Daily Unattended
Limit" is a safety feature built into your account.
This is the total amount of money that can be spent (if
the funds are in your account) at locations that do not
require human to human interaction. These include printing,
copying, vending, and laundry. If your card is lost or stolen,
this would be the maximum that can be spent from your account
at these unattended locations.
|
| When do I select a Daily Unattended Limit? |
|
You selected your Daily Unattended Limit when you
opened your account, however you can change it at the
Bulldog Bucks office during regular business hours (Mon -
Fri, 8 AM - 5PM, excluding official University holidays).
You may choose a limit of either $10, $25, or $50 a day.
|
| How do I change my Daily Unattended Limit? |
The Daily Unattended Limit
can only be changed in person in the Bulldog Bucks office.
A new account holder agreement will be signed at that time.
The change to your Daily Unattended Limit will take 24 hours
before becoming effective.
|
| What happens to the UGACash that I currently have on my card? |
You will need to stop by our office to complete a card holder
agreement and we will transfer the money off the cash stripe
into your new Bulldog Bucks account.
|
| Why should I transfer the money to an account
instead of leaving it on the magnetic stripe on my card? |
As of August 2, 2004 the
money on the cash stripe will not be valid for any on campus
transactions. All the locations that accepted your UGACash
card have been converted to Bulldog Bucks locations.
|
| Do I have to get a new UGACard to utilize a Bulldog Bucks Account? |
Probably not. Any valid UGACard with
the 16-digit number printed on the front of the card (all
cards made since June 9, 2003) will be valid. Any card printed
prior to June 9, 2003 will need to be replaced before a
Bulldog Bucks account may be established.
|
| If I do need a new card, where do I get one? |
UGACards are issued by the Campus Life business
office located on the 3rd floor of the Tate Student Center. Please
see www.ugacard.uga.edu
for hours of operation.

immediately stop anyone from accessing your account. To restore
your account access you will need to come to the Bulldog Bucks
